Polish prosecutors ask European Parliament to allow arrest of MEP Braun for defying summons

Poland's National Prosecution Service has filed a request with the European Parliament for permission to detain and forcibly bring in MEP Grzegorz Braun. Braun was summoned to appear five times but repeatedly left the premises and failed to return. Prosecutor's spokeswoman Anna Adamiak said the behaviour constitutes contempt and that "Braun cannot place himself above the law."
