Bison gores 65-year-old Carl McDaniel at Yellowstone — he shielded his grandson

Carl McDaniel, 65, was visiting Yellowstone National Park with his 13-year-old grandson on their annual trip when a bison they were photographing from over 90 metres away suddenly charged. McDaniel shielded his grandson with his own body and suffered serious injuries, requiring hospitalisation. Cameras and bystanders recorded the attack.
