FX's "The Shards" premieres Aug. 5 — Ryan Murphy's serial killer drama set in 1980s LA

FX has released a trailer for "The Shards," Ryan Murphy's drama series based on Bret Easton Ellis's thriller novel. The show follows wealthy Los Angeles teenagers whose drug-and-sex-filled lives are shadowed by a serial killer. It premieres with two episodes on August 5 on both FX and Hulu.
