Polish tourist falls 200 metres to his death near Čierny štít in Slovak Tatras
On Monday 13 July, Slovak Mountain Rescue Service (HZS) reported the death of a 40-year-old Polish tourist in the Slovak Tatras. The man was climbing near Čierny štít (Czarny Szczyt) off marked trails, without climbing equipment or safety ropes, and fell approximately 200 metres into Divoká Valley. Rescuers are urging hikers to stick to marked routes and carry proper equipment.
