EU population to peak in 3 years, then decline for decades – new report

A new report projects that the European Union will reach its population peak in just three years, after which population will decline steadily for decades. The main drivers are ageing societies and low birth rates. EU Commissioner Dubravka Šuica called on the bloc to "turn this transformation into an opportunity."
