Poland Classifies Short-Term Rentals as Hotel Services to Tackle Grey Economy

Poland's Council of Ministers approved a draft law classifying short-term rentals — such as those listed on Airbnb — as hotel services, subjecting them to the same regulations as hotels. The reform also establishes a Central Register of Tourist Accommodation. The changes are aimed at curbing the grey economy in the accommodation sector, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced.
