Russia struggles to sell oil as floating stockpiles return near year-high levels

Russia is struggling to sell all of its oil exports, with the volume of Russian crude sitting on tankers at sea approaching the highs seen at the start of the year. The problem stems from sanctions and trade restrictions imposed on Moscow following its invasion of Ukraine. The surplus is putting pressure on Kremlin revenues as buyers prove difficult to find.
