Polish prosecutors request European Parliament's consent to detain MEP Braun

Prosecutor General Waldemar Żurek has submitted a request to European Parliament President Roberta Metsola for permission to detain and compel the appearance of MEP Grzegorz Braun. Prosecutors wish to charge Braun in connection with a case involving a doctor from Oleśnica. The decision on whether to lift Braun's parliamentary immunity now rests with the European Parliament.
