Taco Bell investigated over parasite outbreak: 843 cases, 86 hospitalised

The CDC has confirmed 843 cases of cyclosporiasis — a parasitic infection causing severe diarrhoea — linked to Taco Bell since May 2025. The outbreak has resulted in 86 hospitalisations and no reported deaths. Taco Bell is now under official investigation in connection with the outbreak.
