Polish government creates central registry for short-term rentals to protect tenants
The Polish government has approved a draft law on short-term rentals that will establish a central registry of accommodation units. Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz said the new rules will not upend the hotel market, but will protect the rights of tenants living near short-term rental properties. The changes are a response to tensions caused by the rapid growth of platforms such as Airbnb.
