Polish Jets Intercept Russian IL-20 Spy Plane 30 km From Ustka

Polish duty fighter jets intercepted a Russian IL-20 reconnaissance aircraft over the Baltic Sea, approximately 30 kilometres from Ustka, Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced. After being signalled to leave Polish airspace, the aircraft withdrew towards Russia. The incident is among the most significant recent aerial encounters in the region.
