China tells Europe it has no right to comment on South China Sea dispute

Beijing reacted sharply to a joint statement by the European Union and 14 countries challenging China's claims to the South China Sea. China declared that Europe has no right to comment on the dispute and summoned European diplomats to lodge formal protests. It is the strongest Chinese response yet to European positions on the territorial issue.
