Severe storms and heavy rain hit southern Poland — IMGW issues level-2 warnings

On Tuesday, July 14, Poland's Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued level-1 and level-2 storm and heavy rain warnings for large parts of the country. The highest orange-level alert covers Lower Silesia, Opole, Silesia, Lesser Poland and Świętokrzyskie voivodeships. Gusts of up to 70 km/h, intense rainfall and hail are expected, with the peak forecast for the afternoon and evening and a risk of localised flooding.
