PiS RPO candidate Adam Borowski convicted of defaming Roman Giertych

Adam Borowski, the PiS candidate for Polish Ombudsman (RPO), was convicted and sentenced to six months in prison for twice failing to comply with a court order to apologise to Roman Giertych for defamation. The ruling coalition's candidate for the post is Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram, known for her defence of judicial independence in Poland.
