Pellet price hits 2,100 PLN per tonne — up 55% year-on-year

The price of wood pellets in Poland has risen to as much as 2,100 PLN per tonne, up from around 1,350 PLN a year ago — an increase of over 55%. Nearly 450,000 Polish homes are heated with pellets. Industry representatives point to a shortage of sawdust and rising costs of this raw material as the key driver of higher prices.
