"Larva from hell" oak processionary moth caterpillar confirmed in Poland
The oak processionary moth caterpillar, dubbed a "larva from hell" by experts, is spreading across Europe and has been confirmed in Denmark, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Poland. Its stinging hairs can cause severe skin, eye and respiratory irritation in both humans and animals. Polish and European experts are actively monitoring its spread.
