Dragon's Dogma 2's new director: the series is in good hands after Itsuno's departure

Hideaki Itsuno, creator of Dragon's Dogma and the Devil May Cry franchise, left Capcom in August 2024 after over 30 years. The new director of Dragon's Dogma 2 has stated he has what it takes to continue the series' legacy. Itsuno originally conceived Dragon's Dogma around the time he was working on Devil May Cry in the early 2000s, and fought hard for time and budget before the original game launched in 2012.
