100,000-Year-Old Skull Shows One of History's Earliest Known Acts of Violence

Scientists analysed the skull of one of the earliest Homo sapiens found outside Africa and discovered marks consistent with a blow from a sharp stone tool to the face. The finding suggests deliberate interpersonal violence occurred as far back as around 100,000 years ago. It is considered one of the oldest confirmed cases of human-on-human aggression in history.
