'The Chilean' Premieres at Locarno — Thriller About a Miner Fleeing Pinochet's Regime

Fandango Sales has acquired distribution rights to Sergio Castro-San Martín's drama "The Chilean" ahead of its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival. Set in 1976, the film follows Chilean miner Aldo Marín who flees Pinochet's dictatorship to Turin, where he meets a doctor who performs illegal abortions. His attempt to rebuild his life is soon put at risk.
