Wood Pellet Price Rises to 2,100 PLN per Tonne – Sawdust Shortage to Blame

Wood pellet prices in Poland have jumped from around 1,350 PLN per tonne a year ago to as much as 2,100 PLN today. The fuel heats nearly 450,000 Polish homes. Industry representatives point to a single key cause: a shortage of sawdust and rising costs of this raw material, reported by all domestic producers.
