Disney+ launches free streaming tier as subscription prices keep rising

Streaming prices continue to climb — Paramount+ raised fees by $1/month in January and Crunchyroll by $2 in February. More subscribers are cutting paid plans in favour of free, ad-supported alternatives. Disney+ is now making a major move into free streaming to capture that growing audience.
