'Explosive diarrhea' parasite outbreak spreads across 31 US states

An outbreak of a parasite causing severe diarrhoea is continuing to grow across the United States, with cases now reported in 31 states. At least 86 people have been hospitalised so far, though no deaths have been reported. Health authorities are monitoring the expanding situation.
