UN maritime agency opposes Hormuz transit fees after Trump's protection money demand

The UN's maritime agency has come out against the idea of charging transit fees for passage through the Strait of Hormuz, following Donald Trump's demand for protection money. Security in the strait has deteriorated after Iran attacked multiple commercial vessels transiting the waterway over the past week.
