'The Hunt for Gollum' will use de-aging VFX on returning LOTR actors

Director Andy Serkis confirmed that de-aging technology will be used in The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum, in which he also reprises his iconic role as Gollum. Serkis declined to specify which returning actors will be digitally rejuvenated, but familiar faces from the original trilogy are expected to appear younger than audiences remember.
