US Corsair sea drones strike Iranian naval base in combat first

US Central Command deployed three Corsair unmanned surface vessels (USVs) to strike a submarine and ship maintenance facility at Iran's Bandar Abbas naval base — the first-ever combat use of American sea drones. Built by Saronic, the Corsair is a 24-foot USV with a range of over 1,000 nautical miles. The strikes followed the US revoking Iran's oil-export licence on July 7, with President Trump declaring the April 8 ceasefire over while saying Iran had agreed to keep negotiating.
