Octopath Traveler Switch 2 versions offer no upgrade path and block save transfers

Square Enix announced Nintendo Switch 2 versions of Octopath Traveler 1 and 2, launching October 1. Owners of the original Switch versions will receive no free or paid upgrade path, and save files will be incompatible between platforms. Players wishing to continue on the new console must repurchase the games and start over from scratch.
