Netflix launches 'Squid Game: The VIP Challenge' celebrity spin-off to replace original reality series

Netflix keeps going bigger with the scale of its reality competition series. The streamer's offerings have run the gamut from family-friendly fare like Floor Is Lava to intense tests of human limits like Physical 100 and beloved classics like The Great British Baking Show . Among its most massive swings, however, has been for Squid Game: The Challenge , a tie-in to their megahit Squid Game that has put 465 contestants through the same games seen in the show for the chance to win $4.65 million. Not only has it been renewed for a third season, but a spin-off was also announced earlier this year, titled Squid Game: The VIP Challenge , that will take a wide variety of celebrities into the dystopian world for once.
