Paramount remaking 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' under deal with Wes Craven estate
Paramount Pictures has secured US rights to remake "A Nightmare on Elm Street" using Wes Craven's original screenplay. The domestic rights were licensed from the Craven estate, represented by his widow Iya Labunka and son Jonathan Craven. The film will be produced under Paramount's new horror label, Paramount Primal.
