Linette beaten in WTA Athens first round by world No. 200s Hontama

Polish tennis player Magda Linette, seeded eighth at the WTA tournament in Athens, lost in the first round to Japan's Mai Hontama 4:6, 5:7. Hontama is ranked outside the world's top 200. It is Linette's second consecutive first-round exit, following her early departure from Wimbledon a few weeks ago.
