Nintendo's Japan-only bit Generations GBA series turns 20 — still unlike anything else

Twenty years ago, in July 2006, Nintendo released the seven-game bit Generations collection exclusively in Japan for the Game Boy Advance, developed largely by Skip Ltd., the studio behind Chibi-Robo!. The series stood out for its radically abstract game design, unlike anything else Nintendo has published. The collection never left Japan and remains a niche but remarkable chapter in the company's history.
