British counter-terrorism police take over murder investigation of Ann Widdecombe

British counter-terrorism police have taken over the murder investigation into the death of Ann Widdecombe following the emergence of new information and evidence. Widdecombe was a well-known Conservative politician and former MP. The case had previously been handled by regular criminal investigators.
