Belgium Joins Dutch NASAMS Air Defence Programme After Nine Years Without Cover

At the NATO summit in Ankara, Belgium signed an agreement with the Netherlands to join the Dutch procurement programme for NASAMS air defence systems. Belgium has had no air defence capability since 2017. NASAMS is a Norwegian-American medium-range missile system already in use by several NATO members.
