Humanoid Robots Perform Surgery on Mammals in World-First Preclinical Test

Researchers at UC San Diego conducted the world's first preclinical test in which two remotely controlled humanoid robots performed surgical procedures on large mammals. The experiment demonstrated both the promise and the current limitations of humanoid robots in surgical settings. Human surgeons supervised the procedures throughout the test.
