Sam Neill, star of Jurassic Park and much more, dies aged 78

Sam Neill, the New Zealand actor with a five-decade screen career, has died at the age of 78. He was best known for playing Dr Alan Grant in Jurassic Park, but built up a wide range of film and television credits across many genres. Neill was widely regarded as one of the most versatile actors of his generation, appearing in thrillers, dramas and historical productions alike.
