EU Imports Record Russian LNG — France, Belgium and Spain Are Top Buyers

EU countries imported record volumes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Russia's Yamal terminal in the first half of 2026, according to a report cited by Reuters. The three largest recipients are France, Belgium and Spain. The surge comes just ahead of a full EU ban on Russian LNG imports set to take effect in 2027.
