IMGW raises orange alerts as violent storms and heavy rain hit eastern Poland
Poland's meteorological institute IMGW has raised orange weather alerts for eastern parts of the country, forecasting violent thunderstorms and heavy rainfall during the evening and night. Precipitation could reach tens of litres per square metre, overwhelming drainage systems. Residents in affected areas are urged to take precautions.
