Spain's Democratic Memory Law to grant citizenship to 2 million people

Spain's Democratic Memory Law will grant citizenship to over 2 million people, half of them from Argentina. The law allows children and grandchildren of Spaniards who fled or were exiled during General Francisco Franco's right-wing dictatorship to reclaim Spanish nationality. Applications could be submitted until October 2025.
