Gibraltar border controls end on 15 July after nearly 120 years

From 15 July 2025, border controls between Gibraltar and Spain will be lifted — the result of a post-Brexit agreement between London and Madrid. The change will ease movement for residents and visitors, but is expected to have an impact on trade along Spain's southern coast. The border controls had been in place for nearly 120 years.
