DNA tests identify 8 Volhynia massacre victims from Puźniki after decades

Groundbreaking comparative genetic tests have confirmed the identities of eight victims of the Volhynia massacre buried in Puźniki — the first such DNA identification in the case's history. Poland's Ministry of Culture and National Heritage announced the results, saying named plaques will now be placed on the eight graves at the local cemetery. The Volhynia massacres claimed tens of thousands of Polish lives during World War II.
