Italy's third heatwave tops 40°C, threatening lives and cheese production

A third heatwave is sweeping Italy, again pushing temperatures above 40°C. The extreme heat is causing a rise in accidents among residents and tourists on the Apennine Peninsula. The scorching conditions are also threatening production of one of Italy's most popular cheeses, as the heat disrupts the traditional manufacturing process.
