Brain starts making decisions far earlier than scientists previously thought

A new study has found that the brain begins making decisions much earlier than scientists previously believed, with even primary sensory regions receiving rapid feedback from higher brain areas rather than simply forwarding signals. This challenges the traditional, linear model of brain function. Researchers say the findings could guide the design of more energy-efficient AI systems that better mimic biological brains.
