Chinese province bans registration of combustion-engine trucks — a world first
A Chinese provincial government has banned the registration of combustion-engine trucks, making it the first province in China to introduce such a rule. Authorities are simultaneously promoting alternative fuels, expanding the EV charging network and building out hydrogen refuelling stations. The move is one of the most radical steps toward heavy transport electrification seen globally.
