Shield East: 652 million PLN in 2026, 61 km of border secured so far

Poland's Ministry of Defence will allocate at least 652 million PLN in 2026 to the National Deterrence and Defence Programme known as Shield East (Tarcza Wschód). So far, more than 61 km of the eastern border has been secured out of a planned approximately 207 km, with procurement procedures underway for further sections.
