Russia detains ex-presidential candidate Nadezhdin as "foreign agent"

Boris Nadezhdin, a former rival candidate to Vladimir Putin in Russian presidential elections, has been detained three days after Russian authorities designated him a "foreign agent." He was one of the few politicians who openly ran against Putin. The arrest is the latest in a series of repressions targeting the Russian opposition.
