UK tokenization push could add $44B to annual output by 2035

A UK government-backed roadmap on asset tokenization could boost annual economic output by as much as $44 billion by 2035, according to a new report. The plan calls for the country's first digital gilt to be issued by early 2027. Tokenized bonds would also be made usable for trading and as collateral for borrowing.
