High childhood IQ does not lead to distinct political views in adulthood, study finds

A long-running scientific study has found that former child prodigies and people with average IQ hold nearly identical political views in adulthood. The only clear difference is a lower level of conservatism among high-IQ men — a gap that does not appear among women. High childhood intelligence does not protect against what researchers call "political averageness."
