Over 2,700 deaths in UK linked to May and June heatwaves

The UK experienced two record heatwaves in 2025, with temperatures reaching 35.1°C in May and 37.7°C in June. More than 2,700 deaths have been linked to the two events. It is one of the most severe heat-related public health crises on record in Britain.
