China copied Bolesławiec pottery and renamed a city to produce it

China has copied the famous pottery from Bolesławiec in Lower Silesia and begun producing imitations domestically. Beijing reportedly went so far as to rename a Chinese city to lend legitimacy to the production of Bolesławiec-style cups and ceramics. The Polish pottery is recognised worldwide for its distinctive blue-and-white patterns.
