Nolan: AI replacing filmmakers is 'nonsense', right-wing criticism of Nyong'o 'irrelevant'
Director Christopher Nolan, promoting his new blockbuster The Odyssey out this week, said the idea that AI will replace human filmmakers is "nonsense" and that many people "disdain" the technology. He believes big-budget, location-shot films like his will survive the rise of AI. Nolan also dismissed right-wing criticism of casting Lupita Nyong'o as Helen of Troy as "irrelevant".
