Carbon monoxide detector under 100 zł can save lives — mandatory in short-term rentals from June 2026
A carbon monoxide detector costs less than a chimney inspection and is essential in any home with a gas stove, fireplace or water heater. From 30 June 2026, smoke and CO detectors are legally required in hospitality premises, including short-term rental apartments in Poland. Experts advise buying one now rather than waiting until winter, and recommend models certified to EN 50291.
